Colombia reserved 12 tons of cocaine

Colombian police seized 12 tons of cocaine drug with the country's largest criminal gang on Wednesday, the largest amount of drugs ever seized in the country.

The cocaine, estimated by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos valued at about $ 360 million, was found underground in four farms in a banana plantation area in the northwestern province of Antioquia near Colombia's border with Panama.
Santos said that thanks to a police operation, in cooperation with the intelligence of friendly countries, the largest drug seizures have occurred in the country's history.

Santos has linked cocaine to the drug cartel known as the Gulf Klan, one of the country's biggest security threats since a peace deal was signed between the government and rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) last year.
According to a police statement, four people were arrested during the three-day security operation that led to the seizure of cocaine.
